Street Art Waterloo | London Street Art Workshops

Waterloo, nestled in the heart of London, is more than just a transportation hub. It has become a cultural epicenter, thanks to Leake Street—also known as "The Graffiti Tunnel"—a mecca for street art and graffiti enthusiasts. This once-forgotten underground space beneath Waterloo Station has transformed into one of the most iconic and legal spots for street art in the city.

The tunnel's story began in 2008 when legendary street artist Banksy organized the "Cans Festival," an event that attracted artists from all over the world. The event marked a significant shift in the perception of street art, transforming it from an illegal act of rebellion into a legitimate form of artistic expression. Since then, Leake Street has become a constantly evolving gallery, with its walls adorned by both emerging and established artists.

One of the unique features of Leake Street is that it is a legal graffiti zone. Unlike most other places in the city where graffiti is prohibited, artists here can freely paint and express themselves without fear of prosecution. This has led to a vibrant, ever-changing canvas, where new works appear almost daily, replacing the old. The dynamic nature of the tunnel keeps it fresh and exciting, making each visit a different experience.

Graffiti workshops are now available from Leake Street, we've been hosting these this year and have had some incredible feedback, you can book below for your private workshop with our experienced instructors who have over 15 years of delivering incredible street art.
